MaierKorduletsch is partner of the Central European Rally

  • Energy service provider from Vilshofen supports the WRC event in the three-border region (17th to 20th October)

  • Stand-up displays with Thierry Neuville to advertise the major event in petrol stations

  • Company has been promoting motorsport for decades

Vilshofen. Vilshofen-based energy service provider MaierKorduletsch is a big supporter of junior and grassroots sport at regional level. Countless athletes have always lined up on two and four wheels at the “Niederbayerischen MaierKorduletsch-Motorsportmeisterschaften” (Lower Bavarian MaierKorduletsch Motorsport Championships). The company, which is active in Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria, is now supporting the Central European Rally (CER) for the first time. This year’s race, which forms part of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), takes place in precisely these three countries from 17th to 20th October.

“We have been closely associated with motorsport for decades and are pleased to have such a high-class event here in our region since last year,” said Managing Director Lorenz Maier. “The great response from the spectators showed just how many fans motorsport has.” With this in mind, his company has decided to come onboard as a partner. Among other things, life-sized stand-up displays of last year’s CER winner and WRC favourite Thierry Neuville will advertise the event in MaierKorduletsch petrol stations. The Belgian starts for the Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team. With its 39 petrol stations, MaierKorduletsch is a brand partner of Shell – another starting point for the cooperation and for networking. Furthermore, MaierKorduletsch will also be prominent at the stage at the racecourse in Chuchle.

ADAC Sport President Dr. Gerd Ennser: “No elite sport without grassroots sport”

The organisers of the Central European Rally are pleased to be able to call on the support of another renowned and well-known company. “This underlines the fact that the event is making more and more of an impression in the region, and that we are able to provide an attractive stage for sponsors, with scenes that are shown in 105 countries around the world,” says CER Managing Director Andreas Bachmeier. “However, the great response here in the region is even more pleasing: we are confident that we can mobilise 125,000 spectators again this year. Perhaps we can even increase that number, if people are made aware of the event through the advertising at MaierKorduletsch petrol stations,” says Bachmeier with a grin.

ADAC Sport President Dr. Gerd Ennser adds: “For decades, MaierKorduletsch has been an indispensable partner of motorsport in the region, and the championships named after the company itself are known by everyone. The new commitment to the WRC rally is a nice new addition, and shows that there cannot be elite sport without grassroots sport,” says Ennser. “And who knows: maybe we will unearth a future rally champion from Germany at a junior kart racing held by one of our local ADAC clubs. Over 40 years after Walter Röhrl, it is about time!”
