Kalle Rovanperä was the fastest on the second run through Böhmerwald. After starting driver Sébastien Ogier had already improved on Rovanperä's best time from the first run by exactly one second, the Finn countered and beat this performance by another two seconds. No one was faster. Ogier's time was ultimately only the sixth fastest on this stage. His lead in the overall standings has shrunk to a mere 0.3 seconds ahead of Rovanperä before the final stage of the day! Hyundai's spearhead was once again Adrien Fourmaux (FRA), who was the second fastest on the stage, just 0.5 seconds slower than Rovanperä.

#69 Kalle Rovanperä (FIN) / Jonne Halttunen (FIN), Toyota GR Yaris Rally1

‘That went really well. When the track is clean, I can really enjoy driving on asphalt. We have to keep going like this now.’

#8 Ott Tänak (EST) / Martin Järveoja (EST), Hyundai i20 N Rally1

‘It is what it is. Our run was good.’

#1 Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Martijn Wydaeghe (BEL), Hyundai i20 N Rally1

‘Something had come loose and was constantly touching my foot. But I don't think it affected us too much. I was struggling with understeer. The aerodynamics were also quite affected. We are planning to make changes to the setup for tomorrow. This is now an event development event for us.’

‘I enjoyed the stage and the car. The route was nice and the balance was right. I can finally feel the car again. We know what we need to work on. I'm going to put my foot down now and try to make up some positions.‘
